‘’Kon Banega crorepati as KBC’’ which is based on the UK game show ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’ is one of the most sought new top reality TV shows that has made its impact on small screens and is appreciated by majority of audiences. Harshwardhan Nawathe (Won 1 Crore in season 1 held in 2000) : This guy was preparing for Civil Services Exam when he got a call for the audition of show and became a mini celebrity after winning the money. However, he did not take the civil services exam and later pursued MBA from a university in UK. He is married now and works with Mahindra & Mahindra.

Ravi Mohan Saini(Won 1 Crore in season 1 of KBC Junior held in 2001) : This boy was just 14 years old when he got a call from show. His interest in knowing things led him to win the winning prize but this was not the end and he ended up doing even more appreciable and accomplished achievements. He cracked Civil Services Exam and then joined Indian Police Service.

Rahat Taslim(Won 1 Crore in season 4 held in 2010) : She was the first lady winner of the show and comes from a very conservative family and had faced a lot of financial problems. A simple housewife of Giridih, Jharkhand never thought that her journey will also lead her to become the winner of show. Well, the prize not only eradicates the financial problem of her family but she also opened a garment showroom in a shopping mall in Giridih and she is operating it till now.

Sushil Kumar(Won 5 Crore in season 5 held in 2011) : He was the first contestant who won the highest amount i.e. 5 Cr. He used to work as a computer operator under the MNREGA Scheme at a very low income of 6000 per month before taking part in the show but who knew that fate would be so clement on him and make him a millionaire. After tax deduction he got 3.6 crores of which he spent in building a decent house and purchased some agricultural land.There’s a lot of rumor regarding him that he has spent all his money and is unemployed now but there’s no such case as he has few shops in his hometown Motihari and a business in national capital too. Also, being fond of reading and writing, he also wrote a screenplay for a film. Nevertheless, he also engaged himself in social work and adopted 40 children of Naxal affected area and educated them for an year and is currently giving education to the children of Musahar society of his hometown.

Sunmeet Kaur(Won 5 Crore in season 6 held in 2012) : The story of first ever woman who won 5 Cr in KBC is of hard work and inspiration. Before taking part in the show, she wanted to pursue her career in fashion designing but her-in-laws didn’t allow to do so. She then started a local lunch box service business which also got flopped as she met with an accident and was bed ridden for 6 months but she didn’t lose hope and started giving tuition to children and the same knowledge led her to the path of winner of show. After winning the prize money, she started what she always wanted to pursue and ended up opening a fashion house with a partner and she is operating it till now.

Taj Mohammad Rangrej( Won 1 Crore in season 7 held in 2013) : He was the first contestant of season 7 who won the winning prize of 1 Cr. Before participating in the show, he was a history teacher. Perhaps, he would have learnt history so much that he changed the history of himself as he is called ascrorepati rangrej. He utilized the money in his daughter's treatment for partial vision impairment, bought a house and funded the marriage of two orphaned girls, a pretty humanitarian act.

Achin Narula and Sarthak Narula(Won 7 Crore in season 8 held in 2014) : The story of this duo is of perseverance and the saying ‘There is delay in god’s house not darkness’. After being rejecting from the show 10 times, they did not lose their hope and finally ended up winning the title. After winning the prize money, they utilized it in the cancer treatment of their mother and started their own business and are currently operating the same.
