How to come up with ideas...Read once
1. Meditation is a gateway. You are probably thinking what?
However, hear me out. I have found this to be one of the best ways to open my mind, and I do come up with new ideas all the time. I think about a topic, take out 20–30 minutes, go somewhere quiet and just let things flow in my head.
2. The internet is your friend. I always turn to the net to discover new ideas for my business and personal life. Every search engine will display content both historical and current. I bookmark websites that share relevant content and visit them almost every day to trigger ideas. My interests may be different from yours. However, the principle remains the same.
3. Put pen to paper. When I get a mental block sitting in front of a screen, I take fifteen minutes to sit down and write. I set myself a timer and do not stop writing till the fifteen minutes is up. I still find putting pen to paper to be one of the best ways to generate ideas.
4. Stop limiting yourself. The only way to produce the best ideas is to approach any situation with as few obstacles as possible if you believe it is impossible it will be. Believing something is achievable and being as optimistic as possible are the first step towards achieving your goals.
5. Talk to likeminded people. Discussions and brainstorming sessions with people who are working in the same industry or share the same passions will open your mind. Learning from their experiences and exposing yourself to different perspectives can be a great way to generate ideas.
6. See the world. Travelling is probably the ultimate eye-opener for me. I discover at least one business idea where ever I go. Discovering innovation and alternative business and social habits will surely get ideas flowing.
